A pretty low-key week…
…with a bit housecleaning, both IRL and virtual, but first!
Asphalt 9: Legends
I have not yet given up on this game and I encourage you to download it and give it a whirl if you have a Nintendo Switch. It’s free, it’s fun, and I really just need more people to join my driving club, El Club 313. Thank you.
(I wish it were easier to get screenshots taken on the Switch off of it and into a more useful location.)
For some reason, I just cannot get into this book. I’ve tried multiple times over the past couple of years, and I just don’t care about these people and their plights.
One of my favorite weekly tech podcasts is The Vergecast (put out, unsurprisingly, by the folks at The Verge). This past week, they posted a few stories about and dedicated their podcast feed to modern day pirate radio stuff. Both podcasts were pretty great, and the one about Hmong Americans using conference calling software to do a call-in talk show was especially touching and is worth a listen.
Like I said, a pretty low-key week. Since I didn’t have much to talk about, I thought it would be a good time to move a few things on to the site that I’ve been meaning to since I started it; I’ve added all the lists I’ve kept of the things I’ve watched and read over the past few years. Give them a view if you give two shits.
And with that, enjoy your holiday week if you’re in the U.S., or your normal-ass week if you’re somewhere else.
